City- Report of a hit and run accident: Reporting party advised of another vehicle crashing into their vehicle at an intersection and then fled the scene of the accident. Deputy investigated the accident and located the other driver identified as Niki Boone of Ely, Nevada. Deputy reported issuing Boone a citation for two traffic infractions and an additional traffic citation for hit & run and no proof of insurance. An accident report was completed.
City- Report of a TPO violation: Reporting party advised of an individual who had violated the terms set forth in a temporary protection order. Deputy investigated the TPO violation and reported the investigation is still active. A report was generated.
City- Report of a truancy: Reporting party advised of a student who had been habitually truant from school. School Resource Officer investigated the truancies and reported the student was not the age of reason. Deputy reported the investigation is ongoing. A report was generated.
City- Report of stolen property: Reporting party advised of someone stealing their cell phone or they had possibly lost the cell phone. Deputy investigated and reported there was insufficient evidence to substantiate a theft. Deputy generated a report for the cellular carrier.
Report of a domestic disturbance: Reporting party advised of an individual in a vehicle that is parked on a state route who is yelling at a person who is sitting on the ground outside of the vehicle. Deputy patrolled the area of the disturbance and reported the vehicle had left prior to arriving on scene. A report was generated.
City- Report of a parking violation: Reporting party advised of a semi-truck blocking a private driveway. Deputy responded to the private drive and reported the semi-truck had left prior to arriving on scene. A report was generated.
City- Report of a problem with a subject: Reporting party advised of an individual who had threatened a staff member at a local healthcare facility. Deputy investigated the threats and reported the subject was trespassed from the health care facility at the request of a staff member. Deputy reported the subject left the healthcare facility. A report was generated.
City- Report of a motorist assist: Reporting party advised of the ball coming off of their trailer hitch and that their vehicle is now disabled in the middle of the travel lane. Deputy responded to the location and assisted the motorist. A report was generated.
City- Report of a theft: Reporting party advised of their child’s wallet being stolen and that several fraudulent transactions were now on their debit card. Deputy investigated the theft and reported the investigation in ongoing. A report was generated.
City- Report of property damage: Reporting party advised of juveniles trespassing on his property and vandalizing a vacant building located on the property. Deputy investigated the property damage, and a report was generated.
City- Report of a building check: Reporting party advised of someone possibly being inside a vacant building that they own due to the door being open. Deputies cleared the building, and no persons were located. A report was generated.
Report of an alarm: Deputy received information regarding a medical alert alarm sounding. Deputy contacted the person and reported the alarm was set off accidentally. A report was generated.
City- Report of a disturbance: Reporting party advised of loud music coming from a vehicle traveling in the area creating a disturbance. Deputy responded to the area and reported the vehicle had left prior to arriving on scene. A report was generated.

City- Report of a theft: Reporting party advised of a bicycle being stolen from their porch in the middle of the night. Deputy investigated the theft, and a report was generated.
Report of a theft: Reporting party advised of two minibikes being stolen from their property in the middle of the night. Deputy investigated the theft, and a report was generated.
Report of suspicious circumstances: Reporting party advised of two individuals threatening to take their vehicle. Deputy investigated and determined the matter to be civil. A report was generated.
City- Report of a juvenile problem: School Resource Officer received information regarding a problem with a student at school. School Resource Officer contacted the student who was released to a parent. A report was generated.
Report of graffiti: Reporting party advised of someone placing graffiti on their property. Deputy investigated the graffiti and reported the investigation is still active. A report was generated.
City- Report of a welfare check: Reporting party advised of a caller who is threatening self-harm. Deputy attempted to locate the person but was unsuccessful.
City- Reporting party advised of a deer that had been struck by a vehicle on a city street and that the deer is laying in the roadway: Deputy responded to the city street and removed the deer from the roadway. A report was generated.
City- Report of a disturbance: Reporting party advised of a noise disturbance coming from a local motel room. Deputy contacted the subject in the motel room who was issued a warning for disturbing the peace. A report was generated.
City- Report of an arrest: Reporting party advised of an individual who is following them around town and that they have an active temporary protection order in place against the person. Deputy investigated the violation and contacted the person who was identified as Michael R. Hiatt age 31 of Ely, Nevada. Hiatt was subsequently arrested for violating a temporary protection order.

Report of suspicious circumstances: Reporting party advised of a residence that nobody has been around in a couple of months now has a car parked in the rear of the residence and it appears there is a window open. Deputy investigated and no problems were located. A report was generated.
City- Report of a juvenile problem: Reporting party advised of their child acting out and requested law enforcement assistance. Deputy contacted the child and reported the child was contemplating self-harm. Deputy reported the child was transported to healthcare facility for assistance. A report was generated.
Report of a non-injury accident: Reporting party advised of a vehicle off of the side of the highway with one occupant still inside the vehicle. The report was referred to the Nevada State Police.
City- Report of fraud: Reporting party advised of a fraudulent check being deposited into their bank account. Deputy investigated the fraud and reported providing the reporting party information regarding Nevada’s Identity Theft program. A report was generated.
City- Report of a juvenile problem: Reporting party advised of a student that had left school property and could not be located. School Resource Officer responded and reported the student had been located prior to arriving on scene. A report was generated.
Report of a reckless driver: Reporting party advised of a vehicle driving in a reckless manner on a state route. Deputy patrolled the area and reported the vehicle was gone prior to arriving on scene. A report was generated.
Report of a reckless driver: Reporting party advised of a vehicle running other vehicles off of the highway. The report was referred to the Nevada State Police.
Report of fireworks: Reporting party advised of someone setting off fireworks near their residence in the middle of the night. Deputy investigated and a report was generated.
City- Report of a stolen vehicle: Reporting party advised her juvenile daughter, who is too young to drive, had stolen her vehicle from her residence. Deputies located the juvenile operating the stolen vehicle and the juvenile was detained after the juvenile drove the vehicle off of the highway. Deputy reported the juvenile was transported to a health care facility for assistance and was later released to a parent. A report was forwarded to Juvenile Probation.
City- Report of a juvenile problem: Reporting party advised of an intoxicated student located on a school campus. School Resource Officer investigated, and a report was forwarded to Juvenile Probation.
Report of a hit and run accident: Reporting party advised of a semi-truck and another vehicle that had collided on a state highway. The report was referred to the Nevada State Police.

City- Report of a fire call: Reporting party advised of a possible propane leak coming from a commercial building. Deputy along with Ely Fire investigated and determined the leak was an air compressor. A report was generated.
City- Report of a sexual assault: The report is currently under investigation.
City- Report of a death: Deputy received information regarding an individual that had passed away. Deputy investigated the death and identified the decedent as Ivan M. Lee of Ely, Nevada. Deputy reported the death was due to natural causes.
City- Report of trespassing: Reporting party advised of a disgruntle employee and requested that the individual be trespassed from their work sites. Deputy investigated and reported that the issue had been resolved civilly by the employer and that the employee was delivered his final paycheck. A report was generated.
Report of a stolen vehicle: Reporting party advised of one of their vehicles that had been stolen from their business lot. Deputy investigated the theft, and a report was generated.
City- Report of a juvenile problem: Reporting party advised of a juvenile in possession of alcohol at school. School Resource Officer investigated and reported confiscating the alcohol. A report was forwarded to Juvenile Probation.
Report of a domestic disturbance: Reporting party advised of their domestic partner was at the residence and that they are possibly under the influence. Deputy investigated the disturbance and reported the parties agreed to separate for the day. A report was generated.
Report of threats: Reporting party advised of being harassed by a co-worker while at work. Deputy investigated the harassment and provided the reporting party information regarding a temporary protection order. Deputy also reported the incident had been reported to the employer. A report was generated.
Report of a burglary: Reporting party advised of someone breaking into his vehicle on a job site and stealing several construction tools. Deputy investigated the burglary, and a report was generated.
City- Report of a welfare check: Reporting party advised of their neighbor going crazy and he is breaking the windows out of his residence. Deputy contacted the subject and reported the subject was contemplating self-harm. Deputy reported the subject was transported to a healthcare facility for assistance. A report was generated.
Report of a courtesy report: Reporting party advised of losing their cell phone in Las Vegas and that someone had made fraudulent transactions from accounts linked to their cell phone. Deputy investigated the fraud and reported the information was forwarded to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for further investigation. A report was generated.
City- Report of a suspicious vehicle: Reporting party advised of a suspicious vehicle parked outside their residence. Deputy contacted the driver, and no problems were located. A report was generated.
City- Report of a welfare check: Reporting party advised of an individual at a business that is very incoherent stating they wish to go to California to see family. Deputy contacted the subject and reported the subject was transported to a healthcare facility for assistance. A report was generated.
City- Report of a non-injury accident: Reporting party advised of an accident that had occurred at a city intersection. Deputy investigated and an accident report was completed.
City- Report of a domestic disturbance: Reporting party advised of two individuals fighting at a local motel. Deputy investigated the domestic disturbance and reported the fight was verbal only. Deputy reported that the motel manager requested that one of the parties involved in the fight be trespassed from the motel. Deputy reported trespassing the subject and that the subject left the motel. A report was generated.
