Bengaluru: A 17-year-old II PU student and his friend, a graduate, were booked on charges of performing wheelie stunts on their scooters in KR Pura. When cops were patrolling near the underpass of KR Puram railway station, they noticed the duo performing stunts on their gearless scooters.
“The graduate is 22 years old and has a driving licence. He said the scooter belonged to his uncle.In the student’s case, his parents and the owner of the two-wheeler, who is a close relative, have been summoned to the police station. We will book the vehicle owner for letting a minor ride a scooter,” police said.

A fast-track court held a 37-year-old worker guilty of sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl and sentenced him to five years’ RI with a fine of Rs 1.5 lakh. The convict, M Babu was arrested in April 2022 for the crime.
Public prosecutor P Krishnaveni said Babu and the girl’s mother lived together in 2021 after her husband died. “When the girl’s mother also died in March 2023, she started living with her aunt and uncle. While bathing the child one day, the aunt noticed bite marks on her body. The girl said Babu did it when her mother would go out for work.
