The upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom movie, which premieres in Japanese theaters on January 26, 2024, is now up to its fourth trailer. The trailer was preceded by a new visual that was revealed earlier the same day in Japan.
The new promotional video comes with a sampling of the newly announced theme song, “FREEDOM”” by Takanori Nijikawa with t.komuro, and a mixture of mecha action and character shots. The latter includes some of the new faces that will debut with the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed sequel, as well as returning ones like Mu La Flaga and Murrue Ramius.
Seed and its series sequel, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, premiered in 2002 and 2004, respectively. Plans for a sequel movie were first announced in 2006, and in 2021 it was announced that production was ongoing. Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom is set in the 75th year of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed‘s Cosmic Era timeline, shortly after the end of the Second Alliance-PLANT War in Seed Destiny.
