
Bengaluru: Delhi driver Harkrishan Wadia, together with Himachal’s Kunal Kashyap took the overall lead in the Round 5 of the fmsci Indian National Rally Championship at the end of Day 1 at the Special Stages on Saturday. The Rally of Kodagu, organised by Robusta Adventure and Sports Academy, offered a tricky and tough terrain that saw 21 cars, of the 61 that started, fail to finish.

The food and civil supplies minister of Thiruvananthapuram, G R Anil, has denied reports that the delay in repaying a loan taken by a farmer who died by suicide has affected his credit score. The minister stated that the government had cleared the loan on time and that the farmer’s credit score was not impacted. He also clarified that farmers who take paddy receipt sheet (PRS) loans are not personally liable for repayment, as it is the responsibility of SupplyCo. The government is taking steps to ensure timely payment to farmers for the procurement of paddy.

CM Eknath Shinde launches registration for second edition of HindAyan cycle race
The second edition of the HindAyan Cycle Expedition & Race 2024 has been launched by Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde. The race will start from New Delhi on February 10, 2024, and travel to Pune via various cities. Additionally, three races of 110 km each will be held in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra from March 1 to 3, 2024. The race coincides with the 350th anniversary of the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and will conclude on February 19 at Sinhagad, Pune.

The General Education Minister has requested a report on a clash between teachers at a school in Kozhikode. If the conflict occurred on the school premises, it cannot be tolerated. Seven teachers were injured when a teacher’s husband started an altercation with other teachers in the staffroom. The incident was captured on video and went viral on social media. The female teacher lodged a complaint stating that she and her husband were attacked, while the injured teachers claimed they were assaulted by the husband.
