France international flanker Dylan Cretin has ruptured ligaments in his right knee while training with club side Lyon, the Top 14 club announced on Friday.
The 26-year-old was injured after an awkward landing during training on Thursday and will undergo surgery soon.
“Tests confirmed the dreaded diagnosis. The French international is suffering from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament,” the club said in a statement.
Cretin joins the list of Lyon players out with knee injuries including scrum-half Leo Berdeu and fly-half Jean-Marc Doussain.
